The intense rivalry that has been going for so long among in different intramural events College of Accountancy, College of Business and Hospitality Management, and College of Education, Computer Science and Information Technology intensified tenfold as the victors were proclaimed while some continued reigning as champions in this College Intramurals 2017.

Commencing the long awaited event was a Holy Mass held at School Chapel, September 15, led by Rev. Fr. Joel E. Sagdullas, SVD, Ph.D. to bless the event as well as the participating students. This was to remind everyone that though the battle was real, the event was for companionship, recreation and fun.

The said activity was conducted by the Sports Club Committee headed by Mrs. Gemma V. Santiago, Athletics Coordinator, Led by the DWCSJ High School Band together with the College Faculty, the college Divinians, clothed in their creative team shirts, walked along the streets of San Jose and proudly carried their banners. They marched in their ebullient parade at 8 o'clock in the morning of September 18. After a short break to replenish their energy, teams filled the Fr. Mcshery Gymnatium one at the time to dominate the opponents with eager cries. Power, curve and beauty were flaunted next as the muses and escorts showed off on the floor as the participants executed their well choreographed moves and went wild to the beat of their music. At the end of the remarkable performances, winners were announced. Claiming the title of Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2017 were Mark Arnel Tupas (CBHM) and Mica Bliss Guarin (COA) Minor awards were: Mr. &Ms. Photogenic, Mica Bliss Guarin (COA) and Benedict Sanqui(CBHM); Most liked on Facebook were Benedict Sanqui(CBHM) and Karen Garcia(CBHM); Best in Sportswear were Mark Arnel Tupas (CBHM) and Mica Bliss Guarin (COA); and Most Popular through "Piso Mo, Pirma Mo, Panalo Ko" fund raising campaign were Daryl Dumlao (COA) and Indira Espinosa (CBHM). Meanwhile, CBHM celebrated its victory as itseized the first place of its contestrants dynamic performance in hip-hop competition, followed by COA and CECSIT.

In the evening of September 20 sizzled as the Vocal Solo, Duet and Dance Sports competitions started at 6:00 pm. The singers, together with their back-up dancers, gave their all-out performances and turned the night into a concert entertaining the crowd leaving it wanting for more. Young men and women adorned their shimmering costumes as they moved with nexquisite grace at the center of the gym. In the end, Gellie Ann Estoya (COA) drowned out the other competitors' voice and grabbed the first place with her winning piece in the vocal solop competition while Zyra Dimalaluan and Yyanu Mickael Tibayan (COA) sang their way up together to reach the victory in the vocal duet competition with their romantic song "Always". The Dance Sports competition in both Modern Standards and Latin America categories were all snatched by the power couple from the College of Accountancy. The crowd was graced with another wonderful performance by National PRISAA Dance Sports with their mesmerizing intermission numbers.

The moment of truth came as the awarding ceremony for the different intramural events took place. It started at 300 in the afternoon of October 2. All awards and special awards were given to the groups and individuals who won the first, second, and third places. It ended with the announcement of this year's over-all ranking. For the 11th time, COA dominated the event with 532.5 points, CBHM in second place which garnered 445, and CECSIT at the third place with 392.5 points.

College Intramurals 2017 was fought. Faith, determination and pave sportsmanship the way to champions being proclaimed. At was one to remember and the next is to be looked forward.
