Agham and Sipnayan do the moves

Science Week and Math Week were celebrated at the Divine Word College of San Jose Junior High School Department on July 30 to 31 and August 9, respectively.

Earth Movers had the theme, "Destination Moon: More Missions, More Science." Their activity started with Sci-Doku, Book Worm,Trivial Matter and Beyond The Horizon contests on July 30. The following day was filled with Visual Voice and We-Can activities. This year's Science Coordinator is Mrs. Juliet Awit while its moderators Ana Mae Tividad, Vannesa Llaga, and Emelyn Burcer.

Champions in different contests were Jiro Keene Bundang, Klara Perez, Aravella Faller and Jethro Tacuyo (Trivial Matter); Anya Candava, Hannah Gega, Mia Villamar, and Marietta Doctor (Bookworm- Individual); Ayessa Peralta, Juliana Vera Abad, Trina Riztelle Pablo, and Yuvraj Singh (Sci-Doku).

Other contests' champions were Aryana Pablo, Maricris Catama, and Alshanti Villeza (Beyond the Horizon); Julia Pauleen Gomez, Juliana Vera Abad, Aravella Faller, and Sofia Marie Manila (WEssay).

Group Contest for WE-Can also declared champions like Aaliyah Tardio and Keisha Jernadette Perez (Grade 7); Ma. Melody Dula and Clarissa Obligar (Grade 8); Claudette Pablo and Sabina Rasheed Tamares (Grade 9); Nadine Gale Hirang and Maria Jelo Mantile (Grade 10).

Visual Voice Champions were Charles Daniel Castillo and Jyann Bantugan (Grade 7); Jamiah Tin Mantile and Jose Paolo Hilot (Grade 8); Carelle Gonzales and Cian Kelson Sy (Grade 9) Kiethley Anne Danao and Julia Rifareal (Grade 10).

The inclement weather did not stop the Math Club thru the initiative of Mr. Arnulfo Bugarin, Jr., Ms. Karen Mae Herrera, Ms. Jhofel Cabantac, Mrs. Mary Grace Toribio and Mrs. Marie Sha Alojado, Math Coordinators, from spearheading the celebration of Math Week. Activities concerning Math were Sipnayan Quiz Bee,mathematicians' Quiz, math Riddles, and MMC Elimination. It ended with a culminating activity and awarding ceremony.
