The Divine Word College of San Jose (DWCSJ) Graduate School recently conducted a specialized academic workshop titled “WRITE IT RIGHT: Applying IMRAD Format in Graduate School Research and Publication.” Held on October 28, 2025, at the DWCSJ Defense Room, the event was designed to strengthen the technical writing and publication capabilities of graduate students and local researchers.
The workshop featured Dr. Jenny A. Galay-Limos, Assistant Dean of the Graduate School and BSBA Chairperson, as the lead facilitator. Dr. Galay-Limos provided an intensive exploration of the IMRAD (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) structure, which is the global standard for scientific and academic reporting.
This initiative underscores the DWCSJ Graduate School's commitment to fostering a culture of high-quality research and evidence-based practice. By providing students with the necessary tools to navigate the transition from research proposal to professional publication, the institution continues to elevate its academic profile within the region.
The event concluded with a call for researchers to apply these standardized formats to their current projects, ensuring their work contributes meaningfully to their respective fields of study.
